The final night of the small UK tour in Diamond Head’s hometown. Rather than post another review, here are some of the comments submitted to the site by the fans.
Just to let everyone know that the gig at JB’s Dudley on Saturday night was a blinder! I’ve also been a fan since I paid my £3 for the original white album but this was my first chance to see them live- what can I say? Sean’s voice was even better than I’d expected and the band was inspired. Loved the acoustic versions.
Brian looks a bit older than the last time I saw him some 20 years ago when I got him to sign my jeans! Some questions must be asked:
1/ When are Borrowed Time and Canterbury going to get a proper UK re release?
2/ Why arent these guys selling out arenas like they deserve?

the gig on sat at jb’s was not only the best performance i have seen from the band [x8 2 choose from]but quite simply the best EVER gig i have seen from anyone[xoo’s 2 choose from ].Now they have the chance to treat the USA and on this form they will simply blow their NUTS OFF.GOOD LUCK GUYS FROM ALL YOUR MATES IN THE U.K………….

Lads, what can I say about the JB’s gig on Saturday night.
I have followed you since we were all kids (you lot just a little bit older!),seen you on all tours and travelled there with a mate saying it would be dire or brilliance with no in between. It was bloody marvellous and like a trip down memory lane. You sounded great, Sean didn’t seem to miss a note and Brian’s playing was inspired. Having heard the acoustic sets we knew you still had it in you and we have waited patiently for the full set. You were the best and are STILL the best and thank you for what was, without Bull####, one of the best gigs i have been too.
next time (and please make sure there is a next time) can we have To Heaven From Hell and Play It Loud just to add to perfection!!

Id just like to say,t he Dudley J.Bs gig was awesome, I really enjoyed every moment, it was especially cool to hear ‘makin’ music’ live. It was also cool to meet Brian and Sean again, last time was at Bham Edwards back in 91/92.Thanks for signing my stuff and posing for the photo!!:)

The gig at JBs on Saturday was awesome. DH really rocked! They were just so powerful. Sean’s voice was phenomenal and Brian’s guitar-work was outstanding. It was fab to hear ‘Helpless’ live again -Cheers guys- its may favourite DH track 🙂
BTW. If you haven’t got the new Acoustic First Cuts CD yet – buy it now! Its superb.

Cheers for the excellent gig on Saturday guys! Its great that you’re doing these electric gigs and good luck with the gig in the States on Friday. I think I speak for the rest of us when I say that I hope this is the start of many more gigs to come. It was a shame that the 93 reunion didn’t last. I’m sure that with the right record company etc you could at least make it a more permanent situation. Its cool that with the latest line-up you are trying new songs and new arrangements etc. Although I was a bit confused with some of the songs but got them after a few lyrics came in.
Also, when, when, when are the Borrowed time and canterbury cds going to get a proper UK cd release? Could Sanctuary get the rights from MCA to release them over here? The Japanese cds are ridiculously expensive and hard to find. Will the live video ever be re-released as well? It came up on eBay the other day but went for nearly £100! I’d love to see that. Get Sanctuary to re-issue a dvd of all your promo’s and the live video! I can hope!

¨ The gig at Dudley was great. I bought the acoustic EP and thats excellent!! So if you aren’t going to record new material guys, you have to now do a full album of acoustic stuff.
