As I was asked to do a review of an album by Diamond Head, I went blank.
I don't know the band I said. Well I will try anyway.
Received the promo album, loaded it and got stunned at the intro to track number one
"Skin to skin". just the intro made me drop everything at hands and pay more attention to
what came out of my speakers. I so wanted more!
And more I got as track one turned into track number two "I feel no pain" I knew I was
listening to a very good album. And what an album it is! Awesome is the first word that
comes to my mind. At track number six I already had placed an pre-order.
If this album is not placed into every NWoBhm fan's to-buy list I don't know what album
will be.

So what is it I am listening to?
Diamond Head was formed in Stourbridge, England, in 1976. 31 years later I know I have
missed a lot of music history. I didn't even know that some of the tracks I heard back
in the 80's with Metallica were originally by Diamond head, tracks like "Am I evil?"
(1984 on B-side of Metallica's "Creaping death" and 3 years later Metallica
repeated it with "Helpless"). Why the Diamond head tracks ended up on any
Metallica albums is somethin you'll have to read elsewhere though.

Diamond head's 2007 and their soon to be released album "What's in your head".
An eleven track album that is well produced, contain well written tracks all through the
album.

After 4 times of playing the album, 2 days pause and now played the album twice today. I can't
find anything to say that could have been done in any other ways to make the album sound better.
Well written music and lyrics, perfect production. All this gives the album a well deserved 9+
over all score. I am very close to set a full 10 here, only thing that keeps me from doing so
is the fact I don't know the band.
I am also very happy to discover the band "again" sort of speak, and now the real band and not
as any other band doing covers of their songs.

To all NWOBHM fan's and any other fan of good well written music out there, Enjoy!
I sure know I will.
