Sjak: There are still a lot of people who think that Diamond Head without Sean Harris is not really Diamond Head. On the last studio album current vocalist Nick Tart already showed that he was a very adequate replacement for Sean Harris and also on this live record he delivers a very good performance, both in the new material as well as during the classic stuff. In my opinion all the more reason that Diamond Head in its current shape has a reason for sticking around.
The gig, which was recorded in the London Asteria on November 4th 2006 starts off with the intro of 'Am I Evil' immediately followed by 'It's Electric'. The atmosphere is great and the band is in good shape, which results in great performances of among others 'Helpless', the already mentioned 'Am I Evil' (as an encore) and 'Lightning To The Nations'. I must honestly admit that the Diamond Head classics (would they have been categorized as classics if Metallica didn't cover them…?) are a little bit more to my liking than the new material. Nevertheless a convincing live record, which is appealing to probably every New Wave Of British Heavy Metal fan.
