It's a damp July evening but that doesn't stop Diamond Head producing a firecracker set. Everyone lucky enough to be part of the exclusive crowd of friend of Rob will never forget this night in a field in Evesham.
The stage is under a futuristic tent apparatus that has been created by said maker Rob. If you can imagine a flattened wigwam with beautifully cut curves of material allowing us to see the band through a 40ft by 15ft high archway, you may be getting the picture.
The sound was clear as crystal. Nick's vocals were awesome after a week of solid touring of Ireland. Opening with new intro music 'Mars', they exploded with Mine All Mine and then segued into 'Lightning To The Nations'. They were rocking!!
All the guys were putting everything into every song. 'The Prince' motored like a train escaping Hell at 1000mph. The crowd singing along with every 'woah!' - Nick enjoying every minute.
Abbz and Eddie weere moving like demented loons and Brian striking pose after classic pose. Karl broke the snare and repairs were hastily needed. Net up it was 'Give It To Me' from All Will Be Revealed. It was great to see people knew the new material. 'Wild On The Streets' rocked the tent followed by Heat Of The Night. Thin Lizzy's 'Black Rose' was next (played for the Irish dates).
It's Electric had an awesome drum solo from Karl and 'Am I Evil?' then brought the tent down.
