That was an awesome gig. Fantastic when Nick got up on the PA during Suckin'
My Love! There was a pretty young crowd there, I guess that is a good sign
that your music is appealing to the new generations as well as the old.
It was nice to see the next day at Monsters of Rock so many people wearing
DH T-Shirts. Shame DH didn't play there, they would have kicked Queensrike
(or however you spell it) up the arse!
Can't wait to see you again in London.
You're definatly still fuckin' Evil!

Band name: Diamond Head
Support Band: Roadstar, Son Of A Gun
Venue & date Seen: The Pitz on 2 June 2006
It's a Friday evening outside the The Pitz club, a place that has become rather trendy amongst youngsters in Buckinghamshire. Tonight is a special pre-show. The penultimate event leading up to the Monsters of Rock festival which is to take place at The National Bowl tomorrow.
Tonight's even consists of the opening band from the festival, Roadstar, A local band called Son Of A Gun and finally, NWOBHM legends, Diamond Head.
Roadstar take to the stage and sweep the crowd of their feet with their polished brand of rock 'n roll. I've never heard anything this fresh sounding in years. Roadstar perform exceptionally and their stage presence is equal if not better to bigger bands set to appear at the festival tomorrow.
Roadstar play an entertaining, polished and fun set. I now start to worry that Son Of A Gun Will sound a bit shit after this band.
Son Of A Gun take to the stage and it appears that I was right. They're shit. I soon leave to get a drink.
After a lengthy wait Diamond Head finally take to the stage, coming on to an epic intro of 'Am I Evil' then launching into a classic of theirs, 'It's Electric'. Diamond Head play very tightly this evening and they appear to be on top of their game, despite the declining amount of interest in the band since reuniting.
Latest addition to the Diamond Head camp, Nick Tart is a fantastic vocalist and gives even the previous vocalist, Sean Harris a run for his money.
Diamond Head rip through a set of new and old songs, both of which are received well but it's the almighty closing number of 'Am I Evil?' that sends The Pitz into a frenzy.
Tonight was indeed a fine evening and a great warm-up for what should be a good festival tomorrow
