Encore: Call Me, Play It Loud, Fever, Streets Of Gold. Support from; Blood Orange Review By Metal Mick Edited By Joe Staley These guys have been there, done it and got the T shirt and could have been forgiven if they just turned up and went through the motions. Good for us and for those others who attended, that they still have a hell of a stage show. Diamond Head are in my opinion, a better band live than they are on album. The definitive live album has surely got to come from them soon. They enjoy themselves immensely and put their heart and soul into it from the opening bar.
Brian “Mr Diamond Head” Tatler is a master on lead guitar and his riffs and style are still influencing bands today, with the likes of METALLICA no less covering their work. Vocalist, Nick Tart puts on an energetic and polished performance. On Bass, Eddie Moohan really enjoyed himself, pulling faces and shouting along with the audience. There was even a drum solo which is all too much absent from modern rock bands sets.
A great show with a mixture of their old classics and a few from their new album “What’s In Your Head”. If you are a fan already you won’t be disappointed and if not, go along and see what you are missing. A feel good highly polished show, that leaves you wanting more next time around. Great Guys, See you again soon
