Danish born singer Rasmus Andersen moved to the UK in 2005 to attend the London College of Contemporary Music. Since completing his training in 2008, Ras has been tackling the music world head-on in a number of areas including music production, composition and as a session musician.
As a professional vocalist and front man, he has performed in many styles, but always been drawn to hard rock and heavy metal. Ras’ biggest early musical influence was Queen and Freddie Mercury, later drawing vocal inspiration from performers like Chris Cornell (Sound Garden) and Rody Walker (Protest the Hero).
He was therefore thrilled to be requested for an audition with Diamond Head in early 2014. After a few rehearsals he made his debut with the band at the July Headbangers Open Air Festival Hamburg, before accompanying the band for the rest of their Winter Tour, after which he was asked to join the band as its third singer. He is honoured to join the legacy that is Diamond Head, thankful for the support that has been shown by fans at this time of transition and is looking forwards to an exciting 2015.
