Just want to thank everyone who helped out with the Sonisphere gigs with the Big Four. A special thank you to Willie Gee from Megadeath's crew who got me out of the oomska by lending me a base amp after Brian forget to bring mine(which I think he did on purpose, as he was embarrassed that it wasn't metal enough. In fact it is a 450 watts of pure class in a compact box that will not ruin your lumber vertebra. So he can blow it out his ass). For you gear heads out there, it is a TC Electronic 450 base rig, which had a holiday for these gigs. A big thank you to Brian, and Karl our drummer and are erstwhile manager for putting in so much hard work to make it happen; particularly Karl, whose Blackberry skills rival his para-diddle. The crowds were great, the beer was cool, and even though it was quite stressful having Brian's effects unit go AWOL 10 minutes before the start of the set, it was an experience I will never forget and will make up for my football team pissing me off (Aston Villa, if you haven't guessed. Me an Geezer Butler follow the right team). Also a big up to Andy, our all round go to guy for all the help and the Jameson's which went down nicely while watching Megadeath and Metallica's sets. If anyone is interested, Willie Gee, Megadeath's guitar tech, has a great collection of guitar porn which I am looking forward to seeing in Canada in a couple of weeks. One guitar he showed me was the funniest I've seen for years and I will post a picture of it on the next blog. .
